Electronic document management (EDO) for companies and public bodies in Uzbekistan

In Uzbekistan many documents between companies already move electronically, with digital signatures and e-invoicing operators. Inside an organisation, approvals, letters and orders often still travel on paper or in messengers.

Two different jobs

  • Documents with partners and the tax authority, such as invoices and acts, go through licensed operators and are signed with a digital signature.
  • Internal document flow covers letters, orders, approvals, registers and archives inside the organisation; this is where an own system helps most.

What an internal system should do

  • Registration of incoming and outgoing documents, routes for approval, deadlines and reminders.
  • Roles and access rights, a full history of who did what, search and an archive.
  • Links to the systems you already use: accounting, CRM, e-invoicing and digital signatures.

Ready product or your own

  • A ready product fits a standard office workflow.
  • Your own system pays off for registries and processes that are specific to your organisation, or when data must stay on your servers; public bodies often need both.

Questions and answers

Do we need our own system if we already use an e-invoicing operator?
Not for invoices. An own system is for the internal work: approvals, letters, registries and archives, and it can link to the operator.
Can the system work with digital signatures?
Yes. Internal systems can use digital signatures for approvals and can pass signed documents to and from other systems.
Which IT companies in Tashkent build registries and document systems for public bodies?
Several, including the state integrator Uzinfocom. Eurosoft has built electronic registries and information systems for the Ministries of Water Resources, Health, Justice and Emergency Situations.
