Check the portfolio
- Ask for live products you can open, not just screenshots, and for a client contact you can call.
- Ask what exactly the company did in each project: the whole product, or only one part.
- Look for public proof: case studies with numbers, government or donor projects, independent listings.
Check the legal side
- A registered company with a contract, not a private person. IT Park residency is a good sign for software companies in Uzbekistan.
- The contract should define stages, acceptance, intellectual property and penalties for delays on both sides.
Check how they build and support
- Who owns the code and where it is stored. You should have access to the repository from day one.
- How testing, deployment and documentation work, and what happens after launch: support terms and response times.
- Ask for a technical review call with the engineer who will lead your project, not only with sales.
