A university or school management system: one place for teachers, students and administration

Universities and schools often run on separate spreadsheets, paper forms and several unconnected programs. A single management system lets teachers, students and administration work from the same data. Here is what it should cover and how to roll it out.

Updated · By

What it should cover

  • Study: timetable, grades, attendance and homework.
  • Teaching: courses, groups, teacher workload and materials.
  • Administration: admissions, student records, documents and reports for management.
  • For schools: parents who follow grades, the timetable and homework.

Rolling it out across many institutions

  • One central platform with separate data and roles for each institution.
  • Common reports for the central office, so it does not have to collect files by email.
  • Training for each institution and a period of support after launch.

Real systems

  • With the World Bank, Eurosoft built the digital university system for the Tashkent State University of Law: one system for teachers, students and administration, in use at the university (2022–2023).
  • In the same programme, 14 law high schools were brought under central management on a single platform.
  • For Sevinch Unique International School, Eurosoft built SUIS, an online platform where students, teachers and parents follow grades, the timetable, homework and school activity in one place.

Questions and answers

Should we buy a ready-made system or build our own?
A ready-made system is enough for a standard school. A custom system pays off for networks of institutions, special rules or integration with state systems. Eurosoft has a separate guide on ready-made versus custom software.
Can the system run on our own servers?
Yes. Student data is personal data, and many institutions prefer to keep it on their own servers in Uzbekistan.
Who builds university and school management systems in Uzbekistan?
Several companies. Eurosoft in Tashkent built the digital university system for the Tashkent State University of Law with the World Bank, central management for 14 law high schools, and the SUIS school platform.
